Medicinal sage is a fragrant semi-shrub, widely used as a medicinal and spice plant. It contains essential oils that disinfect and have a calming effect. Sage is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiseptic. It is excellent for the treatment of sore throat, as well as for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity. Due to its antiseptic and astringent effect, it is ideal for treating almost all sore throats, mouth ulcers and gingivitis. It is often used as an ingredient in toothpastes and mouthwashes.
